BOTOX®

Many wrinkles are actually creases that have been worn into the skin by making the same expression thousands of times. These "expression lines" often called frown lines or crow’s feet, are due to contraction of a muscle under the skin. Botox®, a purified protein, can dramatically smooth out and soften wrinkle lines. It has been safely used for over 10 years and is approved by the FDA. A few drops of Botox® are injected with a tiny micro-needle precisely into the muscle to weaken and relax the muscle. As a result, the skin overlying the muscle relaxes and the wrinkles disappear. 

Botox® is a safe, effective treatment to reverse the visible signs of aging.  The most common areas treated are frown lines between the eyebrows, crow's feet and horizontal forehead lines. Fine wrinkles around the mouth can also be treated. 

Botox® treatments are simple and take only a few minutes. No preparation is needed prior to a treatment. No sedation or local anesthesia is required, allowing you to resume normal activities immediately.

Botox® treatments are a highly effective means of reducing facial wrinkles leading to a more youthful vibrant appearance. The majority of patients find that their results continue to improve with sequential treatments.  Treatments generally last between 3 to 6 months. Each sequential treatment tends to last longer.

Dysport

Similar to Botox Cosmetic in both its actions and use, Dysport is used in the  treatment of moderate to severe dynamic lines caused by repetitive facial movements.  Once injected, the product blocks the nerve signal that causes the facial muscle to contract.  This ultimately results in a localized reduction of muscle activity in the treated area and temporarily stops the tightening of these muscles.

Many patients combine Dysport injections with dermal fillers to dramatically revitalize your face.

Injectable skin and wrinkle fillers are used to increase tissue volume (as with lip augmentation), reduce wrinkles, and improve skin’s overall contour.  Sorgente Medical Spa offers several options:   Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus Radiesse Restylane Perlane     Dermal Fillers can be successfully combined with Laser Treatments and Light Therapy treatments for optimal results.   Many patients have been very pleased after receiving facial filler treatments in conjunction with Botox® or Dysport injections. Touted as the "next generation" of facial fillers, Juvéderm™ injectable gels gently smooth wrinkles and folds around the mouth and nose and restore a youthful volume to the face. Juvéderm™ Ultra and Juvéderm™ Ultra Plus use a more advanced, cross-linked formula for the correction of moderate to severe wrinkles or folds in the mid- to deep dermis.

Radiesse™ is safe, FDA-approved cosmetic dermal filler that restores a natural, youthful look. Radiesse provides safe and effective facial contouring,
and can be used to treat problem areas like the nasolabial folds, jaw line, and marionette lines around the mouth. Radiesse® can also be used to produce cheek augmentation and chin augmentation, creating a balanced and attractive appearance. Radiesse™ is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in a glycerin gel, which stimulates your body to produce your own natural collagen.

Restylane & Perlane

These dermal fillers are created using hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring element in skin.  They can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds instantly.  If you are interested in achieving a more refreshed, youthful appearance, but are concerned about potential discomfort from treatment, the newest products are available with lidocaine for comfort.
