What are exosomes?

The healing power of stem cells

What are Exosomes?

Exosomes are nanoparticles released by stem cells to activate growth.

Stem cells are pluripotent cells that depending on where they are in the body can differentiate into any cell.

Stem cells for instance can transform into osteoclasts cells producing bone structure whenever the body requests them.

In the skin the stem cells once activated can transform into fibroblast cells forming collagen and elastin as a response to trauma.

The way stem cells signal regeneration and growth in the tissue is mediated by releasing exosomes in the microenvironment.

Modern science was able to find the way to retrieve exosomes from cultures of cells derived from either bone marrow or adipose tissue.

The final product is a powerful concentrate of factors that when injected into the tissue, stimulate not only the growth of new cells but also blood vessels with the effect of delivering more oxygen and nutrients to the treated area.

At Sorgente Medical Spa we are now offering treatment with the transformative power of exosomes.

When exosomes are delivered to the skin together with PRP the results in terms of skin rejuvenation are tangible.

It takes about 42 days for the rejuvenation process to take place where the skin or the hair follicles will become thicker and healthier, more collagen and elastin are produced, microcirculation is stimulated with more efficient delivery of oxygen and nutrients.

The skin will look smoother and firmer with less wrinkles.

The sagging of the skin of neck, arms, chest can be addressed with significant improvement.

It can take from 4 to 6 treatments to see a significant improvement depending on the extent of aging of the skin.

It is quite amazing to notice how the inflammatory process that can produce problems like hair loss or rosacea is also decreased as an effect of the exosomes therapy.

Melasma or localized areas of hyperpigmentation will also respond to the therapy with exosomes with a significant lightening effect.

Ugly scars can be addressed by a treatment that combines PRP with exosomes.

Another important field of application of the combined treatment with exosomes and PRP is the hair loss problem.

Because of the effect on stimulating growth, microcirculation optimization and anti-inflammatory effects of the combined treatment the hair follicles are activated, and the hair will become stronger, thicker and shinier.

The treatment will also help counteract the process of thinning at the level of eyebrow of eyelashes.
